Adam Lambert's cover for his debut CD, “For Your Entertainment"

Adam Lambert's cover for his debut CD, “For Your Entertainment"

He’s Baaaaaaaack…
But is  America ready for this particular Adam?  He’s the same popular guy who sailed through American Idol but came in second. But will he sell albums?  Will the  Glambert nation support his first ever musical work?  His record company sure hopes so. The new CD will be out Nov. 23. I mean, good, bad, or totally insane, this album cover is out there,  sort a speak.  I think it’s Adam not listening to what others tell him and just being Adam.

A new study has found the women across all categories are less happy than men. Hum. Over the last 30 years happiness levels of women have been dropping while the happiness levels of men have remained the same or increased. Girls, don’t worry be happy…

The really frustrating part of this study is it does not tell us why.  I mean who does a study like this and doesn’t bother asking why? From my personal experience, if you ask any woman why they’re not as happy it mostly has to do with Men. Am I right?

So girls, answer this, “I’m Less Happy Than Men Because…..”

What? Cute sweet Miley Cyrus, who was just here in concert a few weeks ago has been voted the worst celebrity influence of 2009 by the very people who made her a star, tweens and teens, according to an online poll on Wednesday.

Cyrus, 16, took 42 percent of votes in the poll for AOL’s JSYK.com (Just So You Know) Web site aimed at 9-15 year-olds, pushing Britney Spears and rapper Kanye West into second and third places, respectively, in a section on worst celebrity influences of the year.

She seems like a good role model to me although Miley is controversially dating a 20-year-old model, and made “slant eyes” in an informal snapshot criticized as mocking Asians, and was accused of pole-dancing on a teen awards show.

Miley did come in No. 4 in the category of favorite female artist, behind 19-year-old sensation Taylor Swift, “I Kissed a Girl” singerKaty Perry and Beyonce. The poll attracted almost 50,000 votes.

I think Miley’s very young fans and parents are starting to see a transition from the sweet Hannah Montana on TV to the more grown up Miley Cyrus in real life and  some are definitely resisting it. She is under alot of pressure. I mean Miley has been one of the biggest teen idols in the world since 2006, selling more than 7 million albums, starting her own fashion line, and taking $154 million at the worldwide box-office for “Hannah Montana: The Movie” in 2009.

No big surprise was Kanye West, whose interruption of Taylor’s Swift’s acceptance speech at a music award show in September was deemed the most shocking moment of 2009, took 19 percent of votes in the worst celebrity influence section.

I am a “Go For It” guy. It gets me in alot of trouble. But some times I learn cool things with my crazy stuff. Did you know your dishwasher is capable of doing more for you than just cleaning your dirty silverware and dishes. Now don’t hold me responsible but, if you use the normal setting on your dishwasher, you can clean these items in it as well.

Baseball caps – They can get bent in the washing machine but hold their shape in the dishwasher, especially inside the Ball Cap Washer ($5 amazon.com).  Don’t wash them with dishes though, food sometimes gets trapped in the cloth.

Tools – Tools with metal or plastic handles only.

Ceramic cabinet knobs – Put them in the silverware basket.

Hairbrushes – Combs and hairbrushes made of plastic can go in the dishwasher, but not wood or natural boar-bristle brushes.

Fan grilles, switch plates, and vent covers – If they are plastic, aluminum, or steel they are dishwasher safe.  Enameled, painted, or plated items are not.

Shin guards, knee pads, and mouth guards – Wash them in the top rack.

Action figures and other small toys – Put them in a mesh lingerie bag on the top rack.  But don’t wash Barbie or she’ll have a horrible hair day.

Light-fixture covers – Put them on the top rack, so long as they are not antique, enameled, or painted.

Garden tools – They might have come in contact with pesticides or animals, so don’t wash them with a load of dishes.  And don’t wash tools with wood handles.

Potatoes – Potatoes get nice and clean in the top rack with a rinse-only cycle (ahh, no detergent).  It also makes mashed potatoes for 20 a lot quicker.

I’m not making this stuff up…

Flu season is here and continues until May.  Each year 5% to 20% of us get the flu, 200,000 are hospitalized and 36,000 die, according to the Center for Disease Control.  If you have the flu you can infect others one day before and five days after symptoms appear via droplets of moisture from coughing and sneezing. Ewww.

Even the money you touch can infect others when you have the flu.  Flu virus can live on a dollar bill for 17 days. Even longer on coins. So wash your hands for at least 20 seconds after touching money and make sure to wash between your fingers and under your nails. I keep “Hand Sanitizer” in every room at home and in my office and in the control room. Make sure it has Aloe or moisturizers so it dosen’t dry your hands out.

So I’m a glass half full kind of guy OK, always looking on the bright side of life because alot of my listeners are feeling kinda gloomy. The fact is the economy isn’t great, and the unemployment rate is very high. So I do what I can to keep you stress free all day and in a good mood. But Outside of my show, how bout a Movie to make you feel better. But where are the “Feel Good” Movies. Does anybody really want to go to the movies to feel even more depressed? Or see people get choped up? Enough with the Horror! At the height of the Great Depression, people flocked to  King Kong, screwball comedies, and gangster movies. None of the doom-and-gloom movies of the past summer—like the cancer-centric My Sister’s Keeper or Funny People—were hits. We want escapist entertainment right : Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is the No. 1 movie of the year so far, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is No. 2, and the goofy comedy The Hangover was the surprise hit of the summer. Did any Movies made you feel better this year…all I’m looking for is a good laugh, for crying out loud.

How Do Know If You’re Having A Bad Day.

You hear Daniel Powter singing about it on Magic 101.9, but how do you know when you’re having a bad day.

You Know You’re Having A Bad Day When……

You’ve been at work for 4 hours before you notice your fly is open.

Your blind date is your ex-husband/ex-wife.

You put both contacts in one eye.

Your twin sister/brother forgot to send you a birthday card.

The bird singing outside your window is a vulture.

You invite the peeping tom in and he says no.

The fortune teller offers you a refund when she sees your future.

You look into the car you just locked and notice the keys hanging from the ignition.

You open your briefcase for the big meeting and find nothing in it but your 5-year olds coloring papers.

How Much Of A Tip You Leave Says A Lot About You .

How much are you supposed to leave the waitress/waiter after a meal? 10, 15 or 20 percent? Do you tip based on the quality of service you receive, or should there be a standard amount, regardless of the service?

Well here’s Dr. Judith Meyerowitz’s tip percentage list and what it says about you.

Small Tipper (Under 15%)  You have good business sense and you’re good with figures. You’re also an excellent planner. You always look before you leap.

Average Tipper (15 – 18%)  You know what you want. You have strong opinions about how to behave in different situations. You don’t go overboard on anything or let your heart rule your head.

Big Tipper (19 – 20%)  You give freely of yourself and don’t ask for anything in return. You go out of your way to be nice to people, even total strangers. Because you’re so generous, people think well of you.

Occasional Tipper   Based on your mood, you’re cheerful, impulsive and have an impish side. You love to play practical jokes or do unexpected things. You’re a genuine free spirit.

Performace-Based Tipper  You believe hard work deserves rewards. You have high values and you’re trustworthy. You have a strong sense of fairness.

Non-Tipper  You know the value of money, and you don’t waste it. You’re frugal, and you know who to balance your budget. You buy practical presents for people, but you choose quality items that will last.

Where do you fall in this list?
