If you thought Idol was boring after Paula left, just wait till we have no, “I Hate To be Rude’, or “It sounded like Karaoke, or “Quite boring truthfully.  He began as “Mr. Nasty,” but morphed into one of the most cool (and richest) stars of his brutal style of reality TV. Try to fill those shoes.  No doubt Simon’s departure is the end of an era on ‘Idol.’ Everybody knows the show is going to lose something big and irreplaceable when he goes, and the show is already losing viewers. Plus he’ll be competing with Idol with his similar show next season the X-Factor. After all of the other judges would compliment a weak performance Simon would always say what we were thinking but would be too embarrassed to say to their faces. Simon dragged us into the reality of Reality TV that not every wannabe singer should be told to follow their dreams…It was a refreshing point of view that needed to be heard on a reality show. And that is gone and so is the once Dominate TV show.

You made have head already about the comment by Chris Myers who needs to stick to analyzing sports. Recently he made a comment which I think he should be fired for about Hurricane Katrina victims. Here’s what Myers recently said on a show, “It’s a great country here. We have disastrous issues where people pull together and help themselves and I thought the people in Tennessee, unlike and I’m not going to name names. When a natural disaster hits people were not standing on a rooftop trying to blame the government, okay, they helped each other out through this.” Once the mainstream got wind of the comments FOX and Myers had to go into damage control by issuing an apology.  Myers stated, “I would very much like to apologize to you and the people of New Orleans for the inappropriate and insensitive remarks I made this past Monday,” Myers said. “Clearly, these remarks demonstrated poor judgment and I sincerely regret making them.”  So that’s it? It shouldn’t be, He should be suspended or even fired. Yes he did apologize- to save his job. Now I know all about our First Amendment which means we have freedom of speech. But Meyers, a sportscaster was out of bounds with his comments about Katrina showing his ignorance, classlessness and insensitivity.

A suspension at least should be in order for Myers. FOX needs to give him some time off without pay to remind him why he has never been hired to do news or commentary and to stick to what he knows , Sports.

Had some delicious Louisiana Seafood for lunch. Please support our fishing industry and eat LA seafood and spread the word it’s perfectly safe to eat. Fishermen continue to bring quality Louisiana Seafood to the nation and will continue to do so. It’s still uncertain about how the oil leak will impact our fisheries, but Louisiana fisherman are launching their boats daily and doing their part to supply restaurants and consumers with fresh Louisiana seafood in clean water. Louisiana fishermen are working closely with BP, federal agencies, Governor Jindal’s office and state agencies.  Many fishermen have offered the use of their own fishing vessels to assist in the ongoing efforts to protect our coastline. Our fishermen and suppliers are confident that there will not be an interruption in the nation’s ability to get quality Louisiana seafood.  The fishermen of Louisiana ask that the nation have confidence in them and their product and continue to support their industry as they have so graciously done over the years.

Last night in league I bowled my 5th perfect game of 300. It came in the last game of a 3 game set, and I must say that this one was a lot easier than the other four. As I stated some time ago in my blog, at one time I thought I would never bowl a 300 in my lifetime of bowling, but now that I have five, I’m looking for more.

I had a chance to bowl a 300 nine weeks ago, but my legs got week on the final ball, and I ended up with a 298 game. Three weeks ago I had another chance at an 800 series but three 10 pins and a 4 pin cost me. I ended up with a 793. And a few weeks ago a bowled a 300, but that one was not as thrilling because it was in a practice league, and I was the only one on the pair of lanes.

I don’t know if the lanes are too easy, or the bowling balls are too strong, or I’m just getting better as a bowler, but I do know this….I’m enjoying every moment of it.
