Since people in Baton Rouge, Lafayette and New Orleans are all interested in seeing Elton John in Concert at the Cajundome Wednesday November 10th. The best seats will go fast; the show may even sell out pretty quick. The only thing against it is weekday concerts are hard on New Orleans fans that have to travel 2 hours to and from the show on a workday. So get on the phone or computer and try and get your tickets right at 10am Friday morning. Good Luck.

Executive producer Nigel Lythgoe releases a photo of the two new judges — along with returning judge Randy Jackson.

Looks weird huh? I guess new judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez have found their spot at the table and New Orleans own Randy jackson moves over to Simon’s chair. Lots of changes on the show and if the ratings continue to decline like last year there will be lots of pressure of the new crew. I’m sure there hoping for some really interesting contestants to keep people tuned it. Taping the auditions continues and look for the new Season to starts in January. They have a year before Simons show “X Factor” the top-rated show in Britain, will compete against them starting in the fall of 2012.

Yep I think so. After Monday night’s “Dancing With the Stars” performances, one thing is clear: Michael Bolton can carry a tune, but he can’t dance to one. The Hound Dog” jive he attempted to do with partner Chelsie Hightower left little doubt about the singer’s shortcomings. From his posture to the complete lack of any footwork, he seems out of place and  all but stumbled through the routine. If he had any doubts about that, judge Bruno Tonioli set him straight. “You did it all — so very, very, very badly,” Tonioli said bluntly. “I think this was probably the worst jive in 11 seasons.” Bolton was bad, but given “Dancing’s” parade of past stinkers, jives and otherwise, did he deserve the judicial tongue-lashing the Judges delivered? I mean not all of these “Stars” are going to right away be “Ballroom” dancers they just want to fake it for a few weeks of TV coverage.

“Someone come out here and take these shoes off me,” the singer instructed after her tumble.

Mariah Carey took a tumble with a smile by the way. The show must always go on for the DIVA. She wobbled on her 6 inch heels on stage Saturday night while performing in Singapore. Luckily she didn’t break her ankle and took the spill in stride, and smiled the whole way down. She then called for an assistant from backstage to come out and remove her shoes. “Someone come out here and take these shoes off me,” the singer instructed after her tumble. Mariah Carey did the rest of the show barefoot and rumors continue about her being pregnant?

Saturday is Worldwide Day of Play, an annual event designed to encourage kids and parents to turn off the television and play, especially outdoors. Nickelodeon is actuallygoing off the air for three hours  Saturday afternoon to encourage kids to play instead of watching TV. Great idea and all I can say is Good Luck with that one.

if you look at the picture from the YouTube video you can obviously see Elmo blushing, or was

Katy Perry & Elmo

Is it too much for a kids show?

he always that red? Katy Perry taped a video for Sesame Street where she tries to get Elmo to play with her, but he keeps running away. So, she sings a song about it to the tune of her hit “Hot and Cold.”  But kids will never see it Sesame Street decided not to show it after some people said the gold bustier top Katy Perry wore showed too much cleavage. What do you think?

This place just opened and is just off 1-12 in Denham Springs where you can explore your adventurous side? So what is IT! Well it’s Tiki Zip Line! A very unique and adrenaline-filled adventure that supplies you with a mile of freewheeling zip activity. I have not done it yet but have seen it on TV shows and in Movies. Visit Tikizipline.com for the full story but you can take a canopy tour which is an adventure like none other you will experience. It consists of a network of cables that are strung from one tower to another high above the ground. Riders travel along the wire via a specially-designed harness that is safe and secure as it glides along the zipline. The force of gravity propels the rider along the cable, giving the rider the feeling of flying through the air in the majesty of nature until you reach the next platform where you get to do it all over again. Sounds like you. Right now we have 50% coupons on the Perks page. Get em before they sell out. Here some pics from their website.

While we were all watching the Saints on Monday Night Football The 11th season of Dancing With The Stars starts kicked off on another channel with 12 new competitors and, as happens with every competition, Las Vegas odds-makers have released the odds on who will win the coveted Mirror Ball trophy this year. The favorite this season is former NBA player and ex of Vanessa Williams, Rick Fox at 4-1. Actress Jennifer Grey, best known for playing Baby opposite Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing, is 5-1 to win it all. Ex-Baywatch hunk and rehab alumni David Hasselhoff is 6-1, R&B singer and actress Brandy Norwood is 7-1, singer/songwriter Michael Bolton is 9-1, and Mike Sorentino, of television series The Jersey Shore, is 11-1. This year’s senior competitor, Mrs Brady, Florence Henderson  is better bet to win than many of her younger competitors at 15-1. Right behind Mrs. Brady is retired NFL quarterback Kurt Warner at 16-1. Long shots to win Dancing With The Stars season 11 are The Hills’ Audrina Partridge at 20-1, comedienne/actress Margaret Cho at 25-1 and Disney’s Cory in the House star Kyle Massey at 30-1. The contestant Las Vegas expects to go home tonight is Bristol Palin, daughter of  Sarah Palin, at 35-1. If they are right, there will be a big pity party for her partner, professional dancer Mark Ballas. He was the first to go last season when he was partnered with Shannen Doherty. We’ll find out tonight after Daughtry performs.

Let me take a wild guess and say that more people will be watching Drew Brees throw the football tonight then watch quarterback Kurt Warner dance… Dancing with the Stars returns tonight with David Hasselhoff, Michael Bolton and retired QB Kurt Warner showing off their moves along with Mrs. Brady Florence Henderson and Sarah Palin’s daughter  They’ll dance tonight, but we’ll all be watching the Saints beat up on the 49ers on Monday Night Football. But if you love the show you’ll be able to see clips of tonight’s dancing on tomorrow night’s show when the first one will be voted off. Go Saints
