So I tuned in to Saturday Night Live this past weekend only to be disappointed that it was a rerun with Anne Hathaway as host.  I guess it made sense since she was hosting the Oscars the next night. But interestingly enough one of the skits they did was a funny Miley Cyrus show making fun of her and her dad and as the skit says it was…’pretty cool” but the interesting part  was after it was over they promoted that next week’s SNL would be live and hosted by… da da da… Miley Cyrus. That should be interesting.

This week new American idol judge Jennifer Lopez starts to see how the job can turn from fun to stressful to tearful. Last week Jennifer showed some aggravation for the first time as some of the contestants flubbed lines and didn’t hit the right notes. Now as we get down to the top 20, grab your tissues before you sit down for Thursday’s episode of “American Idol. According to the rumors Jennifer couldn’t hold back the tears when one contestant had to be eliminated. The hopeful? Chris Medina, the man who stuck by his fiancee after a car accident left her with brain damage. Sources from the “Idol” set said that Jennifer became so overwhelmed by having to deliver the bad news that fellow judges Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson had to talk her through it. Of course any drama is great for ratings.

The Flu Season is here, and although there is no guarantee you won’t catch it, there are some things you can do to limit your chances of catching it.

According to health experts, here are some common surfaces where bacteria are most likely to lurk.

Restaurant Menus
Have you ever seen anyone wash off a menu?

Lemon Wedges
According to a study in the Journal of Environmental Health, nearly 70% of the lemon wedges perched on the rims of restaurant glasses contain disease-causing microbes.

Condiment Dispensers
It’s the rare eatery that regularly bleaches it’s condiment containers. And the reality is that many people don’t wash their hands before eating.

Restroom Door Handles
Don’t think you can escape the restroom without touching the door handle.

Soap Dispensers
Most of these containers are never cleaned, so bacteria grow as the soap scum builds up. And the bottoms are touched by dirty hands, so there’s a continous culture feeding millions of bacteria.

Grocery Carts
The handles of almost two-thirds of the shopping carts tested in a study were contaminated with fecal bacteria. In fact the bacterial counts of the carts exceeded those of the average public restroom.

Airplane Bathrooms
When they tested microbes in the bathrooms of commercial jets, they found surfaces from faucets to doorknobs to be contaminated with E. coli.

Doctor’s Office
A doctor’s office is not the place to be if you’re trying to avoid germs.
