Buildings had to be evacuated and airports shut down for a short time today after an Earthquake centered in Virginia was felt all up the North East Coast. Didn’t cause major damage or injuries, but major cities like New York were inspecting bridges and buildings and in Washington they closed museums and national monuments. It was a 5.9-magnitude quake and this weekend that same area may be dealing with Hurricane Irene… an earthquake and hurricane in the same week?
