Money can give you the Flu
Posted in: Steve
Flu season is here and continues until May. Each year 5% to 20% of us get the flu, 200,000 are hospitalized and 36,000 die, according to the Center for Disease Control. If you have the flu you can infect others one day before and five days after symptoms appear via droplets of moisture from coughing and sneezing. Ewww.
Even the money you touch can infect others when you have the flu. Flu virus can live on a dollar bill for 17 days. Even longer on coins. So wash your hands for at least 20 seconds after touching money and make sure to wash between your fingers and under your nails. I keep “Hand Sanitizer” in every room at home and in my office and in the control room. Make sure it has Aloe or moisturizers so it dosen’t dry your hands out.
